Do not include passwords, sensitive client information, or your whole backup when a short explanation is enough. Jobbook is an Android production app.
Start with your own business
Choose “Set up my business” on first run, or explore the optional sample workspace. When creating a job or quote before you have any clients, Jobbook asks you to add a client and then continues the task.
In a sample workspace, “Make it yours” opens settings. Starting a real workspace requires confirmation and removes the sample records. Export first if you have added information you want to keep.
Make the service catalog yours
Open Business → Service catalog. Edit the name, scope, duration, tasks, and optional rate, or add a service of your own. Suggested rates are blank until you choose them.
“Schedule this service” and “Create quote for service” copy the current service into a new editable record. Later catalog changes do not change existing jobs or quotes.
Export and restore a backup
Open Settings → Export backup and choose a storage location. Keep that file somewhere you can access after losing or replacing the device. Backups include business records and referenced photos, and are not encrypted by Jobbook.
Restore backup lets you select a file and review its record counts before confirming replacement. A valid restore replaces the workspace and turns reminders off. Export your current workspace first if you want to keep both copies.
Delete records or all local data
Use the relevant record’s delete action to remove a job, quote, follow-up, or unlinked client. Handle records linked to a client before deleting the client. Removing a photo or job removes references, but unused private photo files can remain.
To remove all Jobbook app-private data, use Android Settings → Apps → Jobbook → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall Jobbook. Android labels vary by device. This permanently removes the local workspace; export first if you need a copy. Exported files and shared documents remain wherever you sent or saved them.
Jobbook has no online account and LIFTECH cannot remotely delete your device’s workspace. For information you emailed to support, contact us separately. See the privacy policy’s retention section.
Quotes and reminders
Quote statuses and payment entries are recorded manually; Jobbook does not verify customer approval or process a payment. Review PDF content and your business’s tax/document requirements before sending a quote.
Local reminders are optional. Enable them in settings and allow Android notifications if requested. Delivery is approximate and can be delayed by battery restrictions or device settings.
